ABOUT US

Queen Golem emerged in 2019, born from a collective passion for music and a shared desire to create something extraordinary. The original lineup featured Jonas Vandewalle on guitar, Siebe Vanderheere on drums, Sébastien Decock on bass, Bieke Catteeuw on backing vocals and synths, and Simon Clement as the lead vocalist. Together, they embarked on a musical journey that would define the sound of Queen Golem.

In late 2021, the band released its debut album, 'Nomadic,' a testament to their artistic prowess and dedication. Unfortunately, the impact of the album was hindered by the global pandemic, which restricted their ability to showcase both their music and electrifying live performances.

As challenges arose, the band faced a significant change in its lineup. In August 2022, Bieke Catteeuw departed from the group due to life's inevitable twists and turns. Rather than seeking a direct replacement, the band opted to evolve, focusing on crafting new material.

Shortly after, Sébastien Decock also decided to part ways with the band, citing time constraints and life's demands. However, fortune favored Queen Golem as they swiftly found a replacement in Glenn D'hondt. Glenn's audition left an indelible impression, demonstrating his experience, motivation, positive attitude, and a profound passion for music. Glenn became the missing piece of the puzzle, propelling the band to new heights.

The band faced another setback when Simon Clement, the lead vocalist, decided to explore different paths in the music world. In January 2023, Queen Golem released their last single with Simon, titled 'Guidance by Light.' The departure of the lead singer left the band on hiatus for several months.

In August 2023, the band proudly announced their new vocalist, Yarno Lammens. Yarno brings powerful, rough vocals and exceptional chorus skills to the stage. His unique talents, combined with his easy-going personality, made him the perfect fit for the tight-knit crew. Not to mention, Yarno has a penchant for dry sausages - a man of unique tastes!

The reinvigorated Queen Golem will make their comeback at the self-organized event, "Mad Mill Mosh Massacre," on Saturday, December 2nd, at Zaal De Mooie Molen in Roeselare.

As described in our Spotify bio: "Queen Golem, a Belgian metal powerhouse from Roeselare, has undergone quite the transformation. Thanks to Yarno Lammens taking the helm on vocals and Glenn D'hondt slappin' bass, we've shifted into full-throttle metal mode. You might remember 'Guidance by Light,' but now we're all about head-banging riffs and thunderous beats. With Yarno and Glenn on board, Guitarist Jonas Vandewalle and Drummer Siebe Vanderheere have found the perfect fit, crafting a sound that's powerful and raw."
